Description
Rugby camp at the Rotterdam Rugby Club
Internationals Jordy Hop and Noa Donkersloot, two of the most talented internationals in the Netherlands, will give you the first day of training at RRC this summer holiday. And on the other days, other top players come! These three rugby days are complementary to each other and have various rugby themes every day, which are built up. In addition to a lot of rugby, we are also going to have a lot of fun, with a special summer theme, water games and team building. This makes a rugby camp an even greater experience than the clinic days you are used to. Are you there too? That's the Rugby Spirit!
Training of top players
This rugby camp several top players come along. For example, two of The Netherlands' best internationals Jordy Hop and Noa Donkersloot will be present on Monday. Other internationals, honorary class players and NTC talents will also be present to get the best out of you. That's going to be great!
Who is Jordy Hop:
My name is Jordy Hop. 23 years old and living in Voorburg. Rugby is my great passion! Since this season I play at the Haagsche Rugby Club. After 3 years of training at Rugby Academy Southwest, I moved to South Africa in 2015. There I played school rugby at a high level. After that I played in England for 1 year. In 2019 I made my debut for the Dutch team and I have been playing in the Dutch ereklasse ever since. I want to teach you a lot and hope to learn something from you!
Who is Noa Donkersloot:
Hi! My name is Noa, I am 22 years old and I live in Voorburg. I come from a real rugby family. Because of my two brothers, I started playing rugby at rugby club The Hookers at the age of 8. When I started at the Dutch Team 7s in 2016, I started training at Rugby Academy Southwest. I then made the switch to the honorary class. With the Netherlands Team I have played several u18 European Championships and women's European Championships. Since this season I play with the ladies of the Haagsche Rugbyclub. I'm really looking forward to the camp. We are going to make it super educational and of course super fun. Are you looking forward to it?
Really getting better and having fun
Fun in rugby comes first. Fun is to a large extent in really getting better and developing yourself, but also relaxing in the breaks, fun team spirit activities and challenging activities. You train with your peers and as much as possible at your own level. We also mix the groups at times for inclusivity and variety. In addition, for the older children there are also blocks with special skills training for specific positions in the field.
Team spirit is the indispensable ingredient for victory. Our rugby philosophy reflects this thought. Team building and skills training go hand in hand. That's why a Rugby Spirit 3-day rugby camp is more than just training.
What does the day look like?
We start at 9.30 am and the day ends at 4.30 pm. You can be brought from 9 am and picked up until 5 pm.
A rugby camp is specific rugby clinics for three days, which are built up over the days. So every day you go a step further. All exercises last 15 minutes and we have various breaks during the day, in which you can relax and we do fun games. This way we have an ideal change between learning and having fun. There is also a press conference where you can ask questions, top players tell about the life of a rugby player and how they got this far, we do the famous rugby quiz and much more!
Age, level and layout of the rugby camp
This rugby camp is for children from 6 to 10 and 11 to 17 years old. You will be classified by age and level. Of course we take into account that you come to your friends in the group. The groups are about 10 children in size, which will give you a lot of individual attention.
For the children aged 6-10 years there are also other activities, in addition to rugby. After all, variety is important!
For the children aged 11-18 years it really is a performance rugby camp. We're playing rugby all day. Of course, there is plenty of space to relax and unwind in between.
Rugby Performance – come and see that!
We end the three-day rugby camp with a Rugby Performance, to which the parents are invited. There, the rugby stars of the future show what Rugby skills they have all learned and are the center of attention. The ultimate conclusion to a great rugby camp. Parents (and other family members) are invited from 3.45 pm on the last day.
Fewer days to participate
The ideal rugby camp is three days. In it you have the best structure of the training material, you get the most of the team process and you notice that you really get better. Of course it may be that you can not participate on a day, then we have a special price for you. Do you want that? For 1 day use code: 1vd3days. Two days code: 2vd3days. In the comments on the registration form, state which days you want to participate. Do you have any questions? Mail to info@rugbyspirit.nl
Bring a friend
That rugby is the most fun sport in the world, you know that better than anyone. Spread the word and bring a friend who is not on rugby to this day. For him or her we have a special Try Rugby Program. Do you take someone with you? You both get a 15% discount with the code FRIEND15. Put on the registration form which friend it is and fill in the code on the registration form. Please note: discounts cannot be used in combination with other discounts and only apply if you bring a friend who is not yet on rugby.
